2006 Rincon power issue PGM-Fi or cams?

I took over my brother's 2006 Rincon, but I've got a problem, it won't rev beyond 2500 rpm and stalls after idling. I've already replaced the injector and fuel filter, plus I cleaned the IAC, but nothing's changed. I'm starting to think it might be an issue with the cams or the PGM-Fi unit. Has anyone run into this before?

If it won't rev past 2500 rpm despite injector and filter changes, the PGM-Fi unit or cam timing could be the culprit. Faulty sensors or a clogged exhaust might also cause this, check those before expensive repairs

Yeah sounds like your 2006 Rincon's PGM-FI system could be at fault, especially since you've already replaced the injector, fuel filter and cleaned the IAC. Other possibilities include a clogged fuel pump, a weak ignition system or cam sensor issues. Checking for stored error codes with a diagnostic tool can help pinpoint whether it's the PGM-FI, cam timing or another component before diving into major repairs
